FAQs

Below are a number of Frequently Asked Questions which may help with your enquiry, alternatively please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q: What is the difference between a clearspan and traditional marquee?
A: A clearspan marquee comes in 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 metre widths. The length can extend to your needs so long as it is in 3metre bays. This leaves the whole area inside the marquee available for your use and, unlike a traditional marquee, there are no internal poles or guide ropes.

Q: What size marquee will we require?
A: As a guideline the formula we use is 1.6sq metres per guest for a seated event with dancing and entertainment. Alternatively, the formula is 0.65sq metres for a standing event.

Q: Can you build over a water feature?
A: Yes, we have done this on many occasions and it makes a great focal point.

Q: Can you assembly a marquee near overhead electrical power lines?
A: Yes. The Electricity Board will insulate the lines free of charge – but they need notice!

Q: When will you come to put up/remove the marquee ?
A: We schedule two weeks in advance and aim to dismantle on Mondays and Tuesdays and assemble on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We are, however, very respectful of the weather conditions and, in very extreme circumstances, may have to change last minute to ensure the safety of your property and our team.

Q: We have taken out event insurance. Do we still have to pay the Damage Waiver?
A: Yes. As part of our package we offer a comprehensive insurance policy which protects you against public liability, fire and theft.

Q: What level of Public Liability do you have?
A: £5 000 000

Q: What is the smallest marquee you supply?
A: A 6 metre x 6 metre pagoda or clearspan marquee.
